Our simulation suites

You can hire our simulation suites for hands on training and translational research in lifelike settings.

We have 4 high fidelity areas that are an exact copy of these Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) units.

  • Operating suite
  • Emergency department resuscitation room
  • Birth suite
  • Intensive care unit patient room

We also have a separate simulation ward with 8 beds for hire.

Features and equipment

Each area includes the same clinical supplies and devices as the SCUH unit. For example, the birth simulation suite has the same furniture and equipment as an SCUH birth suite.

There's also:

  • AV equipment for live video streaming to briefing rooms
  • a control room where you can set up and direct simulations
  • a briefing room where you can watch and discuss training with students.
