Our demonstration rooms
Our clinical demonstration rooms support hands on training and development for up to 30 people.
Room 1 is for hire when not in use by Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service staff and students.
Rooms 2 and 3 have a movable wall. You can hire them together if you need a larger room (8 x 9.5 metres). Each room holds 15 people and bookings must be for more than 4 hours.

Furniture and medical devices
We can set up the room with a range of furniture and medical equipment, including:
- patient beds and trolleys
- medical supplies and workstations
- IV pumps, defibrillators, ventilators and vital signs machines
- mobile computer with a large screen for presenters
- furniture, including bedside tables, cabinets and chairs with flip desks.
We offer AV support and all equipment is on wheels and easy to move around.
Training devices
We have task trainers and manikins for practising:
- CPR and airway management
- ultrasound scanning
- intravenous, intraosseous and arterial lines (IV, IO and Art)
- indwelling catheters (IDC)
- central venous, rapid infusion and peripherally inserted central catheters (CVC, RIC and PICC).
Our staff can also take part in nursing and medical simulations.
