Meet Lara, who is currently completing her Certificate III in Health Administration through TAFE Queensland. Lara is undertaking her placement within the Research Office and SCHI Library, driven by a personal passion for research and medicine that began after an unexplained illness profoundly impacted her family.
The Sunshine Coast Health Research Office, in collaboration with the SCHI Library, ensures students have access to quality resources, information, and an experienced research support team. We value the involvement of students like Lara, as these placements provide meaningful and diverse learning opportunities while contributing to the development of our future healthcare workforce.
Lara is enjoying the chance to build connections and see firsthand how the library and research office work together – supporting research literature and project management. Once she completes her certificate, Lara hopes to pursue a career in health research administration.
