Queensland Health libraries come together

SCHI proudly hosted the Queensland Health Libraries Professional Development Day.

With 1,300 library visits each week and over 200 research literature searches a year at the SCHI Library alone, Queensland Health libraries continue to be a vital resource for research, guideline development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Librarians from across the state gathered for a full day program featuring thought provoking sessions, including some of our favourites.

  • Kiss, Kill, Marry – What Would Your Choices Be in a Library with Few Walls? presented by Fiona Jensen, Librarian and Research Metrics Manager at Children's Health Queensland.
  • Librarians as Research Weapons: From Cardigans to Collaboration Through Access and Amplification by Alison Rule, Clinical Midwife at Sunshine Coast Health.

The day concluded with an insightful panel discussion on navigating non-typical literature searches.

Of course, no visit to SCHI is complete without a tour of our world class facilities. Attendees happily shed their cardigans for an exclusive behind the scenes look at SCHI.
